Today on the #GIVEPodcast we are thrilled to welcome Cindy Eggleton, co-founder, and CEO of Brilliant Detroit. This community impact organization is focused on building communities in Detroit to sustain not just individual growth, but growth for everyone living there. Children of Detroit statistically test lower than children in all other American cities, causing an incredible divide in future opportunities. Brilliant Detroit has helped bridge the gap for more than 6500 people since it was founded four years ago. It is a unique and unbelievably successful nonprofit that operates (for the moment) exclusively in 4 of Detroit’s neighborhoods. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about this innovative project!

Brilliant Detroit is a community impact organization that has helped over 6500 people since it was founded four years ago. Detroit has faced incredible hardships over the years. The people who live there, and the children who grow up there are statistically tested lower than the average American city. Brilliant Detroit is focused on building the communities in Detroit to help sustain not just individual growth, but everyone that lives there. Once Brilliant Detroit comes into the neighborhood, they are there to stay and help everyone there.
Brilliant Detroit is working to change the fundamentals of these communities and work with them to empower change within themselves. They purchase run-down houses within the neighborhood and turn them into thriving community centers. From nightly dinners to GED classes, their reach is anything but narrow. If you’re looking to get involved, we have options for you below.
How can you get involved?
